Attention: this year, to enter the water city, the historic center, it’s necessary to pay an access fee. If you plan to come in June, the fee is scheduled for the days 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30. For July, it’s on the 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th. The fee is due between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Holders of the European Disability Card and their accompanying person can benefit from exemption by presenting the card, without the need for online registration.

What is the Access Fee?
E’ una quota di 5 euro giornalieri, introdotta dal Comune di Venezia, che dovrà essere versata dai visitatori occasionali, in alcune specifiche giornate del 2024, per poter accedere alla città antica di Venezia. Il contributo di accesso non è dovuto per chi transita a Piazzale Roma, Tronchetto o Stazione Marittima, senza accedere alla Città Antica e per chi deve raggiungere il l’imbarcadero di San Giobbe se transita da Piazzale Roma alla Stazione Santa Lucia passando per il binario 1. Per l’anno 2024 il Contributo di Accesso NON sarà applicato alle isole minori: Lido di Venezia, Pellestrina, Murano, Burano, Torcello, Sant‘Erasmo, Mazzorbo, Mazzorbetto e Vignole, S. Andrea, La Certosa, S.Servolo, S. Clemente, Poveglia e Sacca Sessola.

It’s a daily fee of 5 euros, introduced by the Municipality of Venice, which must be paid by occasional visitors on specific days in 2024 to access the ancient city of Venice. The access fee is not required for those passing through Piazzale Roma, Tronchetto, or Stazione Marittima without accessing the Old City, and for those who need to reach the San Giobbe pier if passing from Piazzale Roma to Stazione Santa Lucia via track 1.
